Cabbage rolls stuffed with buckwheat, lentils and linseed

A VEGETABLE VERSION OF TRADITIONAL DISH

The base of our nutritious vegetarian cabbage rolls with buckwheat, lentils and linseed is white cabbage, famous for its numerous medicinal properties. Its leaves contain vitamin C, potassium and a range of B vitamins, thanks to which it acts as a natural antioxidant. Another tasty accent of vegetarian cabbage rolls – champignons, due to their valuable protein and high content of amino acids, have gained the status of functional food, the consumption of which is highly beneficial for the body. These ingredients compose perfectly with unroasted buckwheat containing prebiotics, which has a positive effect on the digestive system and intestinal peristalsis. Brown lentils and linseed, which have strong anti-cancer properties, make the whole dish even more beneficial. Traditional vegetarian cabbage rolls with buckwheat, lentils and linseed are a healthy meal that will be a perfectly nutritious dinner, tasting like aromatic home-made meal.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The French were the pioneers of champignon cultivation dating back to the 16th century. These mushrooms were then considered a special delicacy, which made them as precious as truffles. To emphasise their unique taste and original aroma, they were served with capers and high-quality alcohol. These days, champignons are grown in many European countries, among which Poland and the Netherlands are the leaders.

Inspired by the classic recipe, vegetarian cabbage rolls with buckwheat, lentils and linseed in tomato sauce taste great both on their own and in the company of other foods – the dish will taste great with baked potatoes sprinkled with fresh dill or coriander and whole grain bread.
